Friends of the Rosary,
Salvation means alignment between heaven and earth, with the Divinity reigning on earth as it does on above. That should be our inner desire, and that’s why we constantly say in the Lord’s Prayer, which Jesus gives us in today’s Gospel (Matthew 6:7–15): “Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”
Heaven – the realm of God, angels, and saints — touches upon earth — the field of humans, animals, and plants, but they are two separate realities.
With our prayer, the veil of separation gets thinner. The prophet Isaiah was calling out, “The earth shall be filled with knowledge of the Lord, as water covers the sea.”
The first Christians saw the resurrection of Jesus as the commencement of the process by which earth and heaven were being reconciled.
Our prayer must come from the heart.
Jesus said:
“In praying, do not babble like the pagans,
who think that they will be heard because of their many words.
Do not be like them.
Your Father knows what you need before you ask him.”
Ave Maria!
Come, Holy Spirit, come!
To Jesus through Mary!
Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will.
Please give us the grace to respond with joy!
