Friends of the Rosary,
Following Christ the Lord means trusting His wisdom even when we cannot understand everything.
In today’s Gospel (Luke 9:57-62), Jesus teaches that discipleship requires a whole, a steady heart to follow him, not delay or looking back.
He said,
“No one who sets a hand to the plow and looks to what was left behind is fit for the Kingdom of God.”
Without hesitation Job in the first reading (Job 9:1-12, 14-16) recognized God’s greatness and mystery, while Saint Jerome, Priest and Doctor of the Church, and the saint of today, showed us to love His Word more deeply.
