Friends of the Rosary,
Today, the Memorial of Saint Gregory the Great, Pope and Doctor of the Church, and Saint Paul (1 Corinthians 3:18-23) remind us not to rely on worldly wisdom or boast in human leaders, because everything belongs to Christ.
Also, the Psalm (Psalm 24:1bc-2, 3-4ab, 5-6) teaches that the whole earth belongs to the Lord, and those who seek Him must come with clean hands and a pure heart.
In the Gospel (Luke 5:1-11), Peter obeys Jesus, and after a fruitless night, receives an overwhelming catch, and he follows Him.
Today’s lesson points to trusting Jesus and lowering the nets again.
Even when your own effort seems empty, obedience to His word can open the way to grace, humility, and mission.
